First theatre movie as a family...

For my birthday, I wanted to spend time with Matt and our family. Matt and I enjoyed an early afternoon and then we took the kiddos to the theatre for the first time. We knew Cameron would be a handful but g-papa had taken Alex before so we hoped he would enjoy it...and boy did he!!! We saw "Planes...Fire and Rescue" and Alex stayed glued to the screen for the most part eating popcorn and drinking lemonade!

Cameron did better than expected until the last 15 minutes where we just let her go up and down the aisles since there weren't many people!

The movie got real exciting right at the end and it was just enough to grab this picture... Love their little heads poking up!

Matt and I later went to dinner and just enjoyed some time to talk without interruption!

Cameron's 2yr old daycare class -

I absolutely LOVE the daycare we use! The University School for Young Children has made a huge impact on our lives. One of the things they do is share on FB (private group) what your kiddos do each day... This helps in so many ways to get the details of what they're up to!!! I could not have prayed for a better place nor teachers to leave my kids in their hands every day!!! Here are a few pics from Cameron's new 2 year old classroom (Mrs. Alicia):

Working on shapes -

Glue and jewels -

Wall painting -

Stacking blocks (motor skills) -

Swing... I can just hear her "I swin"

Outside play -

Painting "flowers" -

Princess puzzle -

Q-tip painting -

What better place to start than...

... with the kiddos!!!
Alex:
 - turned 4 in February and talks like he's 40!!! Makes awesome sentences and says things that I can't believe he understands!
 - loves airplanes, dinosaurs, batman, tractors, and anything "big"
 - plays so well with Cameron and enjoys checking on her at daycare
 - eats almost anything if he's in the mood for it...even SALADS (doesn't get that from mommy)!!!
 - his favorite juicy is Blueberry-Banana
 - has the biggest heart! He is so cuddly and loves to give kisses which I never turn down!
 - has started talking about Jesus (melt my heart) and loves singing the kids songs he learns at Rally Room at church!

Cameron:
 - oh goodness...where to begin?!?
 - turned 2 in April and acts like she's going on 12! (teenager years may be a little scary at times)
 - she's a little spitfire but will light up your day in a heartbeat!
 - her personality is so fun and spunky at this moment and I hope it stays like this!!!
 - doesn't sit for a meal; is more of a grazer and will take 2 hours to nibble on dinner! Pretty picky at times but never stops eating!
 - she loves her "bwudda" but has no trouble being the dominant child of the family!
 - loves ladybugs, riding her bike, and plays with almost any toy she finds to make a mess with!
 - loves music and dancing, most any cartoon theme song, and songs we play at dinner time!

My heart bursts with joy every morning to see these 2!!! Y'all are the light of our lives and can't wait to see what the future holds!

Gonna give it another go...

Thanks to Kelly Barb, I think I can now blog from my phone!
I absolutely LOVE following all my friends that post updates multiple times a week and I just always think about the things with life and the kids that I wish I had in writing to help me remember...
So, this will now be my attempt... Here goes nothing!!!

Cameron is growing...Milestones (9 - 12 months)

There is so much to catch up on with how busy our little lady has been...

9 months:
- 16lbs 10oz, 27.75in
- Your well-baby visit showed a concern of little weight gain (3oz) since your 6mo visit so we determined that my breastmilk may not be getting you all that you need so we started supplementing with 1 bottle / day of formula
 * Note:  I was so happy and blessed to have been able to nurse you for 9 months and just felt peace that I gave it all I had.  You cooperated and loved nursing but I could tell that you weren't getting satisfied and knew that we were nearing the end.  You started throwing fits to nurse because it just wasn't enough to fill you up so...supplementing was a great next step because I was still able to provide for you for another month!
- January 4th - while Aunt Becky and Robyn babysat you so mommy and daddy could go to Papaw's visitation, you decided to start crawling!  We were so excited to see you take 4 little "crawls" upon our return!

You and brother started crawling around everywhere together!

10-12 months:
- You began pulling up on things to stand and cruising along the couches.  Just as you did with sitting and crawling, we knew you would wait until you were 100% ready before you started walking on your own...it was only a matter of time.
- We celebrated brother's 3rd birthday and then you made the trip to Louisiana on the team bus.  Even though the trip took 4 hours longer than normal, you were an amazing little traveler and loved having all of the girls' attention!
- You absolutely LOVE bath time and then you can see what happened upon our attempt to let you feed yourself... MESS!

Overall:  You are such a happy baby!  You light up our world and keep us falling in love with you over and over again.  You and Alex are already best buds and I am so anxious to watch that relationship grow over the years.
You and brother are such a huge blessing in our lives!  Daddy and I thank God everyday for trusting us with you both as we try to lead you in the path He has set forth!
We LOVE you both with all of our hearts and can't get over the happiness that you each bring to our lives!
