What an amazing and growing little boy you are! The past 2 months have been nothing but on the go and watching you start to catch onto to things we say and do. It's hard to believe that we have just celebrated your first Halloween and Thanksgiving and are getting ready to celebrate your first Christmas!
Over the past 2 months, here are the activities and changes on your life:
*October brought your first Halloween where you dressed up as Tigger. G-mom and Aunt Staci picked out your costume as mom and dad felt Tigger was a great fit for your bubbly and contagious personality. We went to a block party at the Underwoods home for our life group where you got to play with your friend, Ansley, who was dressed up as a bumble bee.
*November brought a trip to Louisiana for the birth of your cousin, Avery Ann Choate. While you weren't really sure what to think of her, you got a kick out of wanting to pat her on the head. I think you were trying to play and didn't understand why she wouldn't play back. You enjoyed your time spent with G-mom and G-papa and can't wait to go back to visit for Christmas!
*We also got to enjoy your first Thanksgiving at MiMi and Pops house in Georgia. We spent time with Gigi who came down from PA and also loved your time with Aunt Lizzie, Uncle Joseph, and Cuz JR. You and JR are going to be a blast in the near future as you are both becoming more mobile and attempting to chat with each other.
*Month 9 brought on your ability to pull up on furniture and our legs. Into month 10, you began cruizing down the couches and over to the table and it is only a matter of time before you take those daring 1st steps.
*You have now discovered puffs, cheetos, and other snacks as being an everyday necessity. You are eating 3rd foods like they are going out of style! We have slowly been introducing you to more table food like potato, mashed peas, and chicken. You always seem to make a face the first time but then you open your mouth wide for more...LOVE IT!
*The FIRST bruise... you crawled over to the lamp, grabbed the cord, yanked it right off the table and onto your face. It broke my heart because I saw the whole thing happening and just didn't get to you quick enough. I think I shed more tears than you did that night but needless to say, you had quite the bump and bruise across your nose. I just know there are many more to come... :-(
*The past 2 months have also brought on many new faces and noises: after hurting your nose, you started scrunching up your face and snorting (I LOVE THIS!!!); you have also begun this high pitch sqeeling while in your car seat or in public and it makes mommy and daddy cringe; you have also begun grunting...no particular time or place just when you decide to be a character!
*Your vocabulary is ever expanding...as "mama" and "dada" are a constant. Your newest word is "bye-bye" with the cutest little wave even though you don't quite know what it means yet. You love to tell everyong bye-bye as we are walking through the mall or grocery store or just sitting at the table at a resturant.
*Your 9 month check-up brought on some GREAT news... your kidney reflux has healed, you now weigh 17lbs 6oz (5th %), and you grew over 3 inches to be 29.25in (75%). We love that you are growing but can't believe it is happening so fast!
The past 2 months have been nothing but amazing spending it with you. You are the love of our lives and we look forward to every day bringing something new. Next month, we will be celebrating your first Christmas and spending time with both sets of grandparents!
We love you with all of our hearts and we couldn't be more proud to call you our son!
